Niagara police investigate after attempted robbery at bank in Pelham

Security measures have prevented another attempted bank robbery in the Town of Pelham Wednesday.

Niagara police are investigating the identities of three males who tried to get into a bank on Pelham Street at around 5 p.m.

Officers say when they couldn’t get into the bank, they fled the scene in a black, four-door car.

Detectives describe the suspects as white males, with each one wearing black pants and a black face mask.

One suspect was described to have a slim build, and was wearing a black hooded sweater, a black face mask, sunglasses and black and white shoes.

The second suspect, also described to have a slim build, also wore a black hooded sweater, black face mask and black shoes.

Investigators say the third suspect had a medium build, and was wearing grey gloves, black shoes and a pink black Sp5der hooded sweatshirt that had the phrase “nevermind the spider, P*nk! Here’s the slime” on it.

Last week, three men trying to rob a bank in Wainfleet were stopped, when they couldn’t get inside the building.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (905) 688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009746.
