Niagara police have arrested a 21-year-old Wainfleet man involved in a fatal collision in Pelham early last month.
On March 1, officers responded to the area of Victoria Avenue near Wiley Road for reports of a collision.
Authorities say the collision took place in the northbound lane of Victoria Avenue where a northbound vehicle rear ended another northbound vehicle.
The collision forced the struck vehicle off the road and into a ditch, resulting in the driver being transported to an out-of-region hospital for treatment. The driver later died of his injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver at fault, 21-year-old Mitchell Tinney, was charged at the scene at the time of the collision.
On April 9, police arrested and charged Tinney with one count of dangerous operation causing death.
