Hamilton police appeal for witnesses after 17-year-old girl shot

Hamilton police are searching for witnesses after a 17-year-old girl was shot Wednesday night.

At approximately 8:15 p.m., officers were called to a local hospital to investigate the circumstances surrounding a 17-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound.

According to authorities, details about the shooting are unclear and the involved parties are not cooperating with investigators.

The teen girl is currently recovering from her injuries.

Detectives are continuing to gather information in an effort to determine where and how the shooting occurred.
