A Niagara Falls man is wanted in connection with the largest seizure of cocaine in Toronto police history, totalling $83 million.

Robert Nolin, 60, is wanted for conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, trafficking and possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking. A police warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Toronto police say the record-breaking bust confiscated more than 835 kilograms of cocaine and that it had the “hallmarks” of a Mexican drug cartel.

The investigation was part of “Project Castillo,” an extensive joint forces investigation into drug importation and trafficking in the Greater Toronto Area.

According to authorities more than half of the drugs seized allegedly came from a tractor-trailer from Mexico stopped on the Canadian side of the Canada-U.S. border.

The project began in August 2024 and was led by the Toronto Police Service Drug Squad – Major Projects, with assistance from York Regional Police, the Canada Border Services Agency, and the RCMP Windsor Border Integrity Unit.

“Project Castillo demonstrates the power of collaboration to protect our communities,” said Superintendent Paul MacIntyre of Organized Crime Enforcement.”

Six individuals were arrested — two Mexican nationals and four Canadians — and three warrants for arrest, including Nolin’s, have been issued.
