Three hospitalized after car, motorcycle collide in Fort Erie

Three people are in hospital following a collision between a car and a three-wheeled motorcycle in Fort Erie on Sunday.

Niagara police say a white Nissan SUV and a red Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Helena Street and Dominion Road.

Both occupants of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to an out-of-region hospital.

A passenger in the Nissan was brought to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

Detectives with Niagara police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit have taken over the investigation with assistance from Forensic Services.

The intersection was closed while investigators examined the scene. It reopened around 9 p.m.
