Niagara cops endorse new deal
Niagara Police have reached a three year contract agreement.
It includes a 2.5 per cent wage increase for each of the next three years. For a first class constable that’s a jump from $85,700 to $92,500 by the end of 2015.
The new contract applies retroactively to January of this year.
The police services board says the wage increase brings salaries of Niagara officers closer in line with other major forces.
