Needle found in Air Canada sandwich

Air Canada says a passenger has discovered what seems to be a sewing needle inside a catered sandwich.

It happened on board a flight from Victoria to Toronto.

A spokesperson for the airline says Air Canada is working closely with its caterers to ensure heightened security measures have been put in place.

The airline says it hasn’t received any reports of similar incidents.

A police investigation is underway.
