NDP billboard causes controversy

The Liberals are crying foul over byelection billboards put up by the NDP in Niagara Falls.

The party alleges that a billboard showing local candidate Wayne Gates and NDP leader Andrea Horwath violates election rules because they went up last week during an advertising blackout period.

The liberals have complained to Elections Ontario, but Horwath says the Liberals are just “desperate” and trying to distract voters from real issues.
