Police share video of Hamilton Mountain shooting in hopes of identifying suspect

Police have released video of a shooting on Hamilton Mountain last month in hopes of identifying a motorcycle driver involved.
It happened on May 27 around 4:50 a.m. on Upper Ottawa Street and Unsworth Drive. It was not reported at the time.
Hamilton police say they were later notified following the discovery of damage to a business in the area.
The force shared surveillance video Thursday, which appears to show a motorcycle driver stopping in front of the business and firing one gunshot at it before fleeing the scene.
Investigators are looking to identify the suspect and the motorcycle involved. The motorcycle driver was last seen heading northbound on Hempstead Drive toward Nebo Road.
Residents and business owners in the area and drivers who were nearby Upper Ottawa Street, Unsworth Drive, Hempstead Drive or Nebo Road around 4:45 a.m. to 5 a.m. on May 27 are asked to check their surveillance video and dash-cams for the motorcycle.
Anyone with related information is asked to contact the Shooting Response Team at 905-546-4883 or email shootingresponseteam@hamiltonpolice.ca.
