Brantford police seize fentanyl, cocaine and weapons while arresting man with outstanding warrant

Brantford police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old man after he was found to be carrying multiple weapons and a large quantity of illegal drugs.

Around 1 p.m. Thursday, patrol officers identified a man with an outstanding arrest warrant in the downtown core.

While arresting him, police discovered he had fentanyl, cocaine, a baton, and a knife in his possession.

Police have not released the name of the individual, but have disclosed that he faces the following charges:

  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Possession for the purpose – fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose – cocaine
