Motorcycle crash in Ancaster leaves 64-year-old man dead

OPP say a 64-year-old man has died after a collision on Thursday involving an SUV and a motorcycle in Ancaster.

Officers attended the scene of a collision shortly after 6 p.m. on Highway 6 and Book Road East.

Police say the driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he died due to his injuries.

Highway 6 was closed in both directions between Highway 403 and Airport Road West, while Book Road East was closed between Fiddlers Green Road and Southcote Road. But roads re-opened at 11:30 p.m.
