Man charged with attempted murder in Georgetown, Ont. shooting

Halton police say they have charged a man with attempted murder following a shooting investigation in Georgetown, Ont.

On Monday, officers say they received reports of gunshots at Dominion Gardens Park in the Halton Hills community at around 5:15 p.m.

Investigators say shots were fired at a parked vehicle but no one was injured despite members of the public being in the area at the time.

They arrested the suspect on Tuesday.

On Thursday, 30-year-old Sattya Him of Mississauga is facing 10 charges including attempted murder and several firearm-related charges.

Authorities believe the shooting is targeted and there are no additional suspects.
