Man, 79, dies of injuries after being struck by SUV in Niagara Falls

A 79-year-old man has died after he was struck by a vehicle Monday evening in Niagara Falls.
Niagara police say the collision happened around 7 p.m. in the area of Dorchester and McLeod roads.
Investigators say the 62-year-old driver of a blue Audi Q3 was turning onto McLeod Road when he hit the elderly pedestrian.
The 79-year-old man was taken to an out-of-region hospital, where he later died of his life-threatening injuries.
No charges have been laid at this time.
