Lane closure on Hamilton’s Dundurn St. South extended to Aug. 21

The City of Hamilton says a lane closure on Dundurn Street South has been extended to Aug. 21.

The city says the extension comes after work to improve a watermain revealed a concrete road base that needs extra attention before the main work can begin.

Existing Bell and gas utility infrastructure was encountered within the roadway that was not identified in the information available to the contractor prior to construction.

The extension was announced Tuesday in a social media post by Ward 1 Coun. Maureen Wilson.
