Landslide causes traffic chaos

Here is exactly where this landslide is on a map.

This is a wide shot of Hamilton’s downtown and west end. McMaster University is on one side of the 403 and the city’s core is on the other. When we zoom in, you can see the landslide is just northwest of the bridge on York Boulevard.

Both York Boulevard and the 403 are main entry ways into Hamilton. So the mess is causing a big backup on the roads in the city, as well.

Drivers gave us a sense of how hard it was to navigate in and around Hamilton and how long it was taking. Whether coming from Guelph, Grimsby or Milton, it was taking an hour and a half. One lady from North Burlington said it took an hour and a half for a normal 20 minute trip.
