The first day of this weekend’s Lakeshore Music and Arts Festival kicked off today in downtown Burlington.
Beloved local band Walk off the Earth headlined Saturday night, and The Trews are set to wrap up the fest Sunday at 8:30 p.m.
There are over 35 Canadian musical acts on this year’s lineup.
The new festival replaces the historic Sound of Music Festival, which faced financial difficulties and were unable to secure funding from the city. The new festival is run by MRG Live, an independent concert and production company.
Interested in catching some of the live music or grabbing a bite to eat? The festival continues tomorrow from 11 in the morning to 9:30 at night.
