Vendors, fans and the sounds of music flowed through Spencer Smith Park as the Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival kicked off (Sean Cowan/CHCH News).

Today was day one of the Lakeshore Music & Arts Festival at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington. The new festival replaces the historic Sound of Music Festival. The Sound of Music faced financial difficulties and were unable to secure funding from the city. The new festival is run by MRG Live, an independent concert and production company.
