Ken Jennings named interim host of “Jeopardy!”

Alex Trebek is a tough act to follow but “Jeopardy!” producers have tapped its most famous contestant to try.
Ken Jennings has been named to host the show on an interim basis. Jennings holds the show’s record for most consecutive wins.
He’ll be at the helm when “Jeopardy!” resumes production next week with his first show airing Jan. 11.

Jennings will be the first in a series of fill-ins for the show.
Trebek died Nov. 8 of pancreatic cancer.
The show is going to air ten of his best episodes the week of Dec. 21 and Dec. 28. His final episodes will now air the week of Jan. 4.
