Jackknifed transport on QEW

It was a frustrating drive home for a lot of commuters in this region as a serious crash involving a transport truck tied up traffic on the QEW through Mississauga.
The truck jackknifed at around 4 pm and stopped all traffic in the west bound lanes. The back up was pretty significant even in the east bound lanes.
Sergeant Kerry Schmidt from the OPP tweeted out the pictures from the scene shortly after the crash. The cab from the rig appears to have twisted around so much that it tore away from the base. The truck belongs to McNaughton trucking out of St Catharines.
