Israel says it will let food, water, and medicine reach southern Gaza through Egypt

Israel says it won’t stop the delivery of food, water, and medicine from Egypt to civilians in Gaza, as the humanitarian situation in the strip continues to worsen.
The change of heart comes after a visit to Israel by U.S. President Joe Biden.
The Palestinian health authority says the death toll in Gaza is nearing 3,500, as Egypt has agreed to open up the Rafah border crossing to allow up to 20 trucks worth of aid in.
Biden in the Middle East on a high-stakes visit today – a visit that was supposed to include a stop to meet with several Arab leaders, until that leg of the trip was cancelled by Jordan after the horrific Al-Ahli Arab hospital blast.
Meanwhile, the hospital explosion sparked protests around the world, including at U.S. embassies in Jordan and Lebanon.
