Isabella, a six year old Whippet that has been missing for nearly two weeks, has finally been found. She escaped from an Ancaster boarding kennel on June 26 while her owners were away on a European vacation. While missing, there had been several sightings of the dog, but no one had been able to catch her. Finally, on Monday evening, a group of volunteers were able to get a hold of her and take her to a vet clinic.

Owner, Jennifer Mainse couldn’t wait to tell her mom that Isabella had been found as it had been a very emotional twelve days. Veterinarian Brent Babcock said that it was her elusiveness that likely helped her survive. Isabella suffered a few bite wounds, likely from coyotes. She lost about five pounds and is on pain medication and fluids. She will need dozens of stitches to close her wounds, but will get lots of spoiling from home.
