‘Iconic’ Port Dover businesses up for sale

Three Port Dover businesses are up for sale as their owners get ready for retirement.

Andrew Schneider, his wife Pam and his brother Tony are longtime owners of The Arbor, Erie Beach Hotel and Arbortown Minigolf.

The Arbor has been serving hot dogs, hamburgers and their famous “golden glow” orange drink for 106 years, and the Erie Beach Hotel has been serving fresh perch and pickerel since 1946.

The trio recently announced their plans to sell all three of their businesses, although they’re not in a rush.

The Schneiders hope potential buyers will continue their traditions and keep the legacy of the businesses intact.

Around 135 people work between the two locations.
