The hockey romance series “Heated Rivalry” has quickly gained popularity in the television world and now, Destination Ontario is encouraging fans to relive their favourite moments at filming locations, many of which are in Hamilton.

Heated Rivalry is an incredible show following the spicy romance between two professional hockey rivals Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov.

The pair first meet outside a hockey rink, but that’s actually outside Burridge Gym at McMaster. Other campus gyms are also used for training montages with the two hockey stars.

The Pink Tunnel in Corktown is in the scene where Ilya delivers his emotional monologue in Russian when he’s on the phone with Shane. Fans have flocked to the location on Ferguson Ave. to recite some of the lines.

Connor Storrie who plays Ilya had to learn Russian for this role in just weeks, as he is from Texas, while his Canadian co-star Hudson Williams is from Kamloops, B.C.

A map shows various destinations in Hamilton where Crave series “Heated Rivalry” was filmed.

Another Russian location is at Dundurn Castle where Ilya is running during his off season and texting Shane while their romance ramps up.

Ciao Bella on Augusta St. is seen in a few different episodes, with the brown leather seats being a dead giveaway. In the scenes Shane and his parents are talking about none other than his rival Ilya, who Shane is secretly seeing romantically. In some scenes from the restaurant you can also see The Judge in the background, right across the street.

Another notable location on the list that fans will want to check out is Relay Coffee Roasters on King William St., except in the show, it’s a smoothie shop called Straw + Berry. This is where characters Scott and Kip meet and start to fall in love.

Jade Lennox, a barista at Relay Coffee Roasters, said the hype surrounding the show has lead to traction for local businesses.

“Mid-January we usually see our slower season, but it’s just been so busy and people come in from all over the place,” said Lennox. “People who’ve driven over an hour just to come and see and do the tour.”

Relay is offering a Hollander hot chocolate and a sold-out fan meetup next week.

Club Mansion is another scene in the show that fans likely recognized. It is where the two see each other from across the room and have an intense stare down.

Other locations include Liuna Station, First Ontario Concert Hall and the Winchester Arms in Dundas.

The Crave series first premiered on Nov. 28th last year and had a record-setting launch, increasing viewership by 400 per cent.

The show has already been greenlit for a second season which could mean more cameos for Hamilton.
