Federal immigration operation in Minnesota ends, limited officers staying

The I.C.E. enforcement operation in Minnesota is coming to an end, U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan announced Thursday, saying that only a small number of officers will remain as federal forces are drawn down. The decision follows more than two months of an aggressive immigration surge that led to mass detentions, violent protests, and the deaths of two U.S. citizens in shootings by a federal agent.
