The City of Hamilton is warning residents of construction on Birch Avenue in Ward 3 Friday, which will convert the road into a two-way, to open Tuesday.

City staff say the conversion will take place on the stretch of road between Burlington and Barton streets — over the train tracks and past Gerrard and Brant streets.

They say access to all businesses and residents will be maintained while the road is resurfaced, and emergency services will not be affected.

All traffic lights will be activated and two-way traffic will be established.
