Hamilton deputy police chief Paul Hamilton retiring to become chief of Niagara Parks Police

Hamilton deputy police chief Paul Hamilton is retiring from serving in Hamilton’s service to assume the role of chief of Niagara Parks Police.

His last official day with Hamilton police will be on May 29, which he will then take on his new role on June 1.

The deputy chief has worked in policing since 1990 and has worked on key issues including increased staffing and equipment investments.

Hamilton police chief Frank Bergen says Hamilton “has led with integrity, and remained deeply committed to the community.”

The search for a new deputy chief will begin at the end of May.
