Hamilton police investigate shooting in Stoney Creek mountain neighbourhood

Hamilton police are asking locals for information after a shooting took place in a Stoney Creek neighbourhood early Sunday morning.

Officers told CHCH News that an incident occurred after around 3 a.m. in the area of Winterberry Drive and Highland Road.

Investigators posted on X just after 11 a.m. that they had reopened roads in the area after briefly shutting down at 6 a.m.

Detectives are looking for witnesses to the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
