Hamilton police have arrested and charged two people after recovering several illegal drugs and a prohibited weapon as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
On May 7, investigators executed search warrants at two Hamilton residences and three vehicles.
Police say they seized about 500 grams of cocaine, approximately 645 grams of methamphetamine, 50 dilaudid pills and 100 percocet pills.
Officers also recovered a prohibited weapon (a taser) and an estimated $1,700 in Canadian currency.

Matthew Kulwartian and Brittany Schilte, both 32 and from Hamilton, are facing multiple charges including possessing various drugs for the purposes of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.
