Halton police have arrested a 24-year-old Hamilton man following a series of residential break and enters in Burlington.
In the early hours of May 23, the man allegedly targeted six residences located in the Palmer neighbourhood. Investigators say the man broke into two of the residences, but failed to gain access to the other four.
Authorities say the man entered via unlocked rear patio doors and stole credit and bank cards. These cards were later used to make unauthorized purchases in Burlington and Hamilton.
On June 23, a search warrant was executed at a Hamilton residence where King Umuhizi was arrested. During the search, officers recovered multiple pieces of evidence, including electronics and jewelry.
As a result, Umuhizi has been charged with the following:
