A shooter is still on the loose in Hamilton after a brazen exchange of gunfire in broad daylight. Witnesses say children were playing nearby when the attack happened. A startling number of shootings since January, 7 locations where 8 separate shootings have happened.
The MacNab and Picton area had two gun fights in less than two weeks in June. Now at Wentworth and Rutherford Saturday afternoon, witnesses say four men fought and a gun was fired. “I’m worried it’s happening too close to home, in broad daylight with kids around.”

Witnesses told police the four young men ran away. Police say a 19 year old who says he is a robbery victim is now being questioned. Resident David Duffy says he wants to move out of the neighbourhood because of all the violence. “There’s police presence when they’re called but we never see police presence, more foot patrol, just more police presence.”
