Hamilton flower shop offers free roses

A flower shop in Hamilton is encouraging people to bring a smile to someone’s face, with their annual “Good Neighbour Day.”

Jean’s Flower Shop on Upper Wellington Street is giving away dozens of roses for free. The idea is that whoever picks up the bouquet will keep a single rose for themselves, and hand out the rest.

“It’s just to meet people in your community, neighbours, and spread some cheer and joy,” says owner Jerry Thompson.

Jean’s Flowers will hand out 12-hundred dozen roses today.
