A multimillion dollar revitalization of the Hamilton Cathedral Place has been approved by the Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Niagara.

That means the construction of a new building along with the renovation of the existing diocesan centre within five years – adding residential, community and retail space. Local architect David Premi and Windmill development group – one of Canada’s greenest developers- have been tasked with the project which faces onto Hughson Street North.

The historic Christ’s Church Cathedral – where the funeral of Corporal Nathan Cirillo was held – as well as the school house façade will remain unaltered, protecting the valuable heritage of the property.
