Halton police made multiple arrests as well as seized fireworks and a knife in Oakville Monday night while out on foot patrol for Canada Day festivities.

Police say on X that they recovered fireworks and a knife in an effort to keep everyone safe.

Officers also dispersed large crowds of youth on Lakeshore Road.

Police say they maintain a zero-tolerance approach, responding to illegal activity with tickets, charges and arrests.
