Halton police searching for 15-year-old Oakville girl

Halton police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 15-year-old girl from Oakville.

According to investigators, Lamar Barakat was last seen on foot at approximately 8:50 a.m. on May 4 in the area of Stornoway Circle and Valleyridge Drive in Oakville.

Authorities describe her as a five-foot-tall, light-skinned girl with a slim build and curly, long black hair.

They add she was wearing a navy t-shirt, grey pants, white Nike shoes with a red logo and a navy blue Under Armour backpack with red stitches.

Police and her family are concerned for her well-being.

Investigators say she may have travelled to the Toronto area.

Anyone with information about Lamar’s whereabouts is asked to contact police through 9-1-1 or via their non-emergency line at 905-825-4777.
