Halton police investigating suspicious house fire in Burlington

Halton police say they are investigating a suspicious house fire that happened early Friday morning in Burlington.

On Jan. 9 at approximately 3 a.m., officers and fire services responded to reports of a large fire at a home on Clearview Avenue.

Upon arrival, emergency crews say the home was fully engulfed in flames.

Officials say the fire caused damage to one neighbouring residence before being brought under control.

Authorities have determined the fire to be suspicious. Investigators are working alongside fire officials to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Officers are requesting that anyone who may have dash-cam, doorbell or other surveillance footage from the area between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. to review their recordings and contact investigators.
