Police arrest three Niagara Falls residents in drug and gun bust

Three residents of Niagara Falls have been arrested in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

On Jan. 8 at approximately 10 a.m., detectives say they saw three people making short visits with other individuals that were consistent with drug trafficking activity in the area of King Street in St. Catharines.

As a result, three people were arrested – and the following substances were seized:

  • 52.5 grams of suspected fentanyl (street value of $10,500)
  • 1.6 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine (street value of $80)
  • 22 Hydromorphone pills (street value of $220)
  • $5,860 in Canadian Currency

Search warrants were also executed at an address in Niagara Falls where the following items were seized:

  • Handgun with 12 rounds of ammunition in a magazine
  • 32.2 grams of suspected fentanyl (street value of $6,440)
  • 46.1 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine (street value of $6,915)
  • 270 hydromorphone pills (street value of $1,350)
  • $280 in Canadian Currency

Eric Flansberry, 34, is now facing the following charges:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (6 Counts)
  • Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime, over $5,000
  • Possess Prohibited Firearm Without Holding a License
  • Possess Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a License
  • Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possess Prohibited Device
  • Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime, under $5,000
  • Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order

Katelyn Guenther, 28, is being charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (six counts)
  • Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime, over $5,000
  • Possess Prohibited Firearm Without Holding a License
  • Possess Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a License
  • Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possess Prohibited Device
  • Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime, under $5,000

Denise Taylor, 53, is also being charged the following criminal offences:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (three counts)
  • Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime, over $5,000
