Halton police concerned for more victims after arrest of man in sexual assault case
Police in Halton region say a 35-year-old Burlington man is facing charges of voyeurism, sexual assault, and sexual assault causing bodily harm following an investigation into reported assaults.
According to police, a woman reported being sexually assaulted by Trevor Cant back on Nov. 13.
Further investigation identified another victim, who not only was sexually assaulted but also strangled, police said in a release.
Cant was arrested, and now faces multiple charges.
Police say they are concerned there may be more victims, and add the suspect is known to use dating sites and social media, utilizing usernames “Trevor Cant” and “Tre Dizz.”
