The parents of a Beamsville man killed when on the QEW in Niagara Falls last week reacts to the murder charges laid against the driver. Thirty-three year old Gordon Hall was ejected from the car he was riding in, and then run over by another. Hall’s on and off girlfriend, fifty-one year old Terri Nichols is sitting in jail, charged with second degree murder killing her boyfriend 33 year old Gordon Hall. And trying to kill his best friend Derek Burgess. Both men were ejected from Nichols car on the QEW near McLeod Road last Monday night. Hall was then run over by another car.

Betty Van Roon is Gordon’s mother. She’s pleading with the driver who ran over Gordon to come forward. “I want him back. But it’s not going to happen. I love him. We just brought his ashes home yesterday. Oh God. Please come forward. Then I can have some closure. I don’t know how you can run over somebody and leave.”

Gordon Hall, Derek Burgess and Terri Nichols were driving toward Fort Erie that night. Burgess told Hall’s parents Nichols was speeding and arguing
with Hall. Just before the crash Burgess told her he wanted to get out of the car: “I told Gord that night not to go.”

Gord Hall lived with his father Bill and step-mother Joanne in Beamsville. They say they didn’t like Terri Nichols at all: “She like to drink. I told her not to come around anymore if she’s been drinking.”

Bill Hall says his son told him he was breaking up with Terri Nichols. That he would pay her the fifty dollars he owed her and leave. Hall says that was the primary reason for the argument in the car that night.

Gordon Hall leaves behind two young daughters: “This is Brianna. That’s his youngest”

He was laid to rest last Friday.
