Haldimand County resident faces more child exploitation charges

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid additional charges against a Haldimand County resident in connection with a child sexual exploitation investigation.

In April, officers arrested and charged a person in connection with an online child luring investigation.

Detectives say the investigation has resulted in the identification of additional victims in Canada and the United States.

Christopher Petley, 27, of Haldimand County, has been charged with 14 additional offences including bestiality, luring a child by means of telecommunications and making child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on Sept. 8.

The OPP says a publication ban has issued and they will not be able to provide further information.
