Guelph transit workers locked out

City busses aren’t running in Guelph today.

Workers with Guelph Transit have been locked out after about 200 unionized workers voted overwhelmingly to reject a tentative deal reached last week.

The agreement had offered a 6.8 per cent wage increase over four years.

As a result of the lockout, the only transit in Guelph today is mobility service for pre-booked medical appointments.
