Grand Erie Public Health confirms 5 more cases of measles

Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) is investigating five confirmed cases of measles in Norfolk County, totaling 53 confirmed cases in the Grand Erie region.
The Grand Erie region includes Haldimand County, Norfolk County, the City of Brantford and the County of Brant.
The health agency confirms that the new confirmed cases are recovering at home. They say the 53 confirmed cases are made up of eight adults and 45 children.
Their investigation has determined that people who attended the Norfolk General Hospital at 365 West St. in Simcoe, during three dates may have been exposed to the measles virus.
The dates include:
- Feb. 14, from 9:20 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Feb. 16, from noon to 10 p.m.
- Feb. 18, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.
