Glimmer of hope for F.E. racing

The CEO of the Fort Erie live racing consortium says there is still a glimmer of hope for a season next year.

That’s despite the very dark cloud still hanging over the Fort Erie race track. It comes after Jim Thibert met Wednesday with John Snobelen and John Wilkinson, two members of the race track transition panel. The panel’s report suggested thoroughbred racing at Fort Erie is unsustainable. But Thibert says they talked about having some races next year and possibly making Fort Erie a thoroughbred training track.
