Gas plant report due Wednesday

Wednesday, the province’s information watchdog will release the findings regarding deleted emails on the cancelled gas plants.

Staff in former Premier Dalton McGuinty’s office, including the former Minister of Energy, Chris Bentley — were supposed to keep the files for seven years.

But they testified they emptied their accounts. The province’s Information and Privacy Commissioner, Dr. Ann Cavoukian, has previously said she’s baffled they would be naive about their obligation to save the emails.
