Four GTA men charged in armed Milton home invasion

Four GTA men are facing charges following an armed home invasion in Milton early Thursday morning.
It happened shortly before 5 a.m. at a home in the area of Clark Boulevard and Thompson Road South.
Halton police say three men broke in through the front door and made their way to the second floor, where they confronted the family of four, including a young boy.
Officers say two of the men threatened the family with a large knife and a screwdriver. They allegedly demanded car keys, cash and jewelry as well. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Police arrived at the home and found the suspects’ Chevrolet Volt parked in front. The driver tried to flee the scene and struck a police cruiser. Officers stopped the car and then arrested the man driving it.
