Four car collision in Mississauga

A man has been air lifted to a trauma centre following a serious mutli-vehicle collision in Mississauga overnight.

Emergency response teams were called to Winston Churchill Boulevard and Steeles Avenue just after midnight for a four vehicle collision. Crews were forced to extricate a male from a Toyota Prius. He suffered serious injuries and was transported by EMS to Credit Valley Hospital, and then later transported by Ornge to Sunnybrook. A 48-year-old female also suffered serious injuries but remains at Credit Valley Hospital.

Reports say the roadway is now cleared. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
