Niagara canine arrest

A Niagara Regional Police canine team has nabbed a car thief in the Falls.

Yesterday afternoon, police service dog Havoc and Constable Donal McCann tracked a man who had ditched a stolen car on Thoroldstone Road. Police say the driver had crawled out of the car and into a bush. That’s where Havoc found him.

Thirty-one year old David Shirley faces several charges. He’s been treated at hospital for minor injuries.
