Ford cancer surgery today

Current councillor and former Toronto mayor Rob Ford hopes surgery today will make him cancer free.
Ford will undergo an operation that could last 10 hours to remove a tumour from his stomach area.
Over the last eight months Ford has undergone dozens of rounds of radiation and chemotherapy to shrink the tumour so it would be small enough to remove surgically.
Ford says he’ll need the summer to recover from surgery, but then he plans to begin fighting to regain the mayor’s office.
Ford dropped out of the mayoral race last fall after his cancer diagnosis, with his brother running in his stead. Doug Ford lost to John Tory.
