Drivers experienced delays in Flamborough Monday morning after a crash knocked out traffic lights at the intersection of Highway 5 and Brock Road.

Police say a commercial motor vehicle struck a trailer being towed by a pickup truck around 8:23 a.m., causing the trailer to catch fire.

Officers say one occupant was sent to hospital as a precaution.

Police are investigating a red light infraction as the cause of the collision.
