FIFA approves reforms

FIFA congress has approved reforms to protect against corruption and curb the powers of its new president.
Needing a 75% majority for approval, 89 % voted yes. The vote was taken after the Palestine Soccer Federation argued for a delay to let the new president lead the process.
FIFA was rocked with scandal after several officials in the soccer organization were arrested and its president Sep Blatter was banned due to suspected corruption.
