Fatal rollover in Oakville kills 1 man, sends 1 to hospital

One man has died and another was sent to hospital with serious injuries following a single-vehicle rollover in Oakville Thursday night.

Halton police say it happened at just before 10 a.m. in the area of Bristol Circle and Plymouth Drive.

They say that there were two people in a grey Porsche SUV travelling eastbound before it lost control and rolled into light standard.

Officers say a 31-year-old man from Hamilton was transported to a trauma centre where he was pronounced dead.

The passenger, a 30-year-old man also from Hamilton, had sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The roads near the crash site has since reopened.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
